Description
A Victorian vestibule internal door with brilliant cut glory stars on blue flashed glass. Glory stars are a traditional Victorian glazing design, often used in the corners of door panels or sash windows. The striking star effect (also known as a ‘starburst’) is achieved by cutting through a coating of blue glass to reveal the clear glass beneath. In this door, the additional large panes of clear bevelled glass give a light and airy feel to the entrance, and echo the glass in the Georgian front door that leads through to the vestibule internal door. The brass door knob and lock escutcheon are decorated with a rope edge in the Georgian style.
