We know that door security is a top priority for our customers, so we make sure it’s our top priority too. A Cotswood door is a secure door.

We always install locks in exactly the right positions to maximise your security. Your new front door can be installed with a range of traditional locks, all of which are insurance-approved. If you are having a new doorframe as well, you can opt for an extra-secure multi-point lock that looks just like a traditional lock. You can also have further bolts added to your door, as well as security chains and spy holes.

Your new door will be thick and strong, constructed by skilled craftsmen with wedged mortise and tenon joints for additional strength. Even the panels within the door are strong because they are both laminated and with a frame, insulated. Your doorframe and door stop will be made from one solid piece of timber if possible, as this is the strongest and best quality method of construction.

The glass panels in your new door will be made from toughened or laminated glass, and the units will be double-glazed wherever feasible. To insert your glass panel into your new door, we use a modern flexible adhesive tape, which is extremely secure – and weather-proof too!

If you have any specific questions about the security of your new door, your surveyor will be able to advise you during your free design survey.
