Description

A gorgeous 1930s stained glass internal door crafted from solid oak. The large stained glass panel in the upper third of the door features a geometric leaded design in scarlet and yellow, with clear textured glass between. The wooden panels have been constructed from prime quarter sawn oak for maximum stability. This cutting process reveals spectacular shimmery markings in the timber called medullary rays, which can be seen rippling across the surface of the grain. The door has been finished with a natural varnish to show off these striking silvery markings, evidence that the oak used in this door is of the highest quality.
