Description
A handsome 1930s internal door constructed from solid European oak. This classic 1930s door design, with one large panel situated above three long narrow vertical panels, is perfect for showcasing the European oak’s natural beauty. The wood has been finished with a natural varnish to highlight its elaborate wood grain patterning. The white porcelain door knob is also typical of 1930s style. Porcelain door knobs were first used in the mid-nineteenth century, but remained popular right through to the end of World War II, when metal was in high demand for the war effort. Here, the porcelain adds a touch of country charm to this impeccably crafted oak door.
